Gaojie Yang

Gaojie completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technololgy in China. During her doctoral research, she synthesized biomineral nanoparticles and drug-loaded nanoparticles, as well as in situ self-curing hydrogels, injectable photo-cured hydrogels, and bio-inspired porous scaffolds for tissue regeneration.  As a postdoctoral researcher in the Synthetic Neurobiology group, Gaojie worked on implosion fabrication, both on refining the technology, as well as applying 3D nanofabrication to design patterned nanostructures for applications in optics and device design.
