Semon Rezchikov while an undergraduate studying mathematics, with a focus in symplectic geometry, worked on synthetic morphogenetics, and written multiscale models of cellular morphodynamics. In the Synthetic Neurobiology group he worked on automated analysis of neural dynamics. He then went on to a PhD program in mathematics at Columbia.
