Limor Freifeld

Limor joined the Synthetic Neurobiology group as a post-doctoral fellow to spearhead efforts for developing neurotechnologies for whole-brain structure and function mapping in the larval zebrafish. Earlier, she earned a PhD at Stanford University Electrical Engineering department, where she worked on the dissection of neural circuits of early visual processing in Drosophila under the advising of Mark Horowitz (Electrical Engineering) and Thomas Clandinin (Neurobiology). Prior to her PhD, she obtained a BSc and MSc, both summa cum laude, from Tel-Aviv University, department of Biomedical Engineering. After completing her postdoc in the Boyden lab, she went on to start a tenure-track faculty job at the Technion.
