Guang Xu is a postdoctoral associate across the Boyden and the Tsai Labs at MIT. Guang completed his Ph.D. in the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science, at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology. During his PhD work, he derived a new insight about the precise structure of the nucleolus and the regulatory mechanism of ribosome RNA biogenesis by employing super-resolution imaging. Currently, in the Boyden lab, he is dedicated to pioneering the development of cutting-edge imaging and in-situ sequencing technologies based on expansion microscopy, and applying these innovative approaches to explore Alzheimer’s disease.
