Ellena Popova is majoring in biology at MIT. She previously worked in the Department of Comparative medicine on a project examining differences in the pathogenic pathways of different strains of H. pylori. In the Boyden lab, she worked on the development of new techniques for cell signaling analysis and visualization of neuronal circuits.
