Jordan Harrod

Jordan Harrod (she/her), while a PhD Candidate in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics in the
Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program, worked with Emery Brown and Ed Boyden on the analysis of factors that lead to a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, including some that reflect the structure of the medical system. Jordan received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University in 2018, where she worked on interfacial tissue engineering, medical image analysis, and machine learning for MRI reconstruction. In her spare time, Jordan is actively involved in science communication via her YouTube channel, which focuses on engaging the public on artificial intelligence, as well as on Twitter, Tiktok, and Instagram. After graduating with the PhD, Jordan ran a consulting practice, co-owned a streaming platform, and made YouTube videos helping make sense of AI.
