Margaret, while an undergraduate at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering, was interested in applying mechanical and optical systems to develop new technologies for studying neural function. In the Synthetic Neurobiology Group, she worked on the development of a high-resolution, high-speed light-sheet microscope to enable whole-nervous-system imaging.
