Helena Hu

Helena is a PhD student in MIT’s Biological Engineering department. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Computer Science and Biological Chemistry in 2022 from Wellesley College. As an undergraduate, she worked in the Fraenkel Lab (MIT) on developing machine learning models that discover/rank molecular circuits which drive athleticism and mental resilience. In the Synthetic Neurobiology group, she aims to combine dynamic and structural/biochemical imaging technologies to simulate the neural computations of higher-order cognitive tasks.
